Diane Allie CFP - As a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Diane is a financial planning professional dedicated to the highest level of competency, ethical standards and professionalism in financial planning.

Diane uses the Six Step Financial Planning Process. This personal approach to financial planning, offers solutions that are customized to meet each client’s goals. Click here for details.

Personal Taxation Strategies:
Diane is an expert in personal taxation. Her comprehensive understanding of CCRA rules and regulations has allowed her to implement tax saving strategies for her clients. These strategies carefully employ tax tools that have proven to minimize tax while maximizing investments.

Retirement Strategies:
When it comes to retirement planning, Diane’s in depth knowledge of company pensions, government retirement and seniors benefits (Canada Pension Plan – CPP, Old Age Security – OAS, Guaranteed Income Supplement – GIS), taxation and income producing investments has proven to be of great benefit for her clients. Restructuring income flow could qualify a client that would otherwise be ineligible for government senior benefits. The result is an enhanced retirement or more money left to the estate or for a favorite charity. “I have worked with some very wealthy couples and individuals that receive Old Age Security and Guaranteed Income Supplements. It is all in the planning.” Generally, age 55 is a good time to be looking at maximizing government senior’s benefits for a future retirement date as it can take a few years to organize ones financial affairs.

Investment Strategies:
Any plan is only as successful as the investments in the portfolio. Diane takes a conservative approach developing diversified portfolios to meet client objectives without undue risk.

Strategies for Small Business Owners:
Diane also offers tax saving strategies for business owners who want to save and/or defer taxes. A Defined Benefit Pension Plan (similar to what public service employees have) also referred to as an IPP could defer about twice as much income from taxes as regular RRSP contributions over their working years. There are many other benefits to an IPP as well.

• Founding member of the Canadian Institute of Financial Planning (CIFP)
